    Portable/Collapsable forge

    I ask so many questions.
    Here's another.
    Does a portable forge exist? I'm tired of running to one vendor for supplies, next for new supplies, and a third, because the first two I ran to, didn't have forges.
    Also, does a portable collapsable forge exist?

    Unfortunately no. We've hoped, but thus far for reasons of logic (and I think concerns over what that portability would allow) you have to do all of your smithing at stationary forges.

      Yeah, at most I figured we could take like 2 minutes to set one up my carrying a backpack of metal some matches and a bag of charcoal =P

        I haven't played in like a year, but I was just looking at Allakhazam's Lucy, and saw this: Forge.

          They probably got that from a beta where we sometimes put the forge on a vendor for testing convenience.

          The "world containers" are actually ground spawns that cannot be picked up.

          So there is an actual item in game that corresponds to each forge type.

            Any chance?

            Is there any chance that there will be a portable or collapsible forge in the future? Some years ago Sears actually had a portable forge listed in their catalogs. This was like 60 years ago but still...

            Maybe make it so you have to also use an anvil or something like that to discourage people from carrying a forge around all the time with them.

            Just a thought...

                What are the logical concerns? If people can carry around a portable forge to combine their PoP plate/chain class items in, why not be able to combine other things in it?

                And if fireing is the concern, people can use the same fire they use for their spits

                  Does not seem like a far fetched idea. Portable forges have been around for centuries. http://www.backwoodshome.com/articles/green51.html is a typical type, dont see why a portable forge would be not allowed in game in the very near future when Norath has much more technically advanced items like rockets that make it stop raining, potions that will make you smarter, and finding ice inside active volcano's.
