Smithing a Weapon

I've started myself a Drakkin but I hate to twink.

However I'm having difficulty finding him a decent weapon. Can anyone suggest anything trivial in the up to 120 region that he could smith for himself? He's a ranger.

There's always Forged Firebrand or Forged Deathsteel weapons, but neither are what would be described as decent by current standards. Isn't there a newbie weapon quest for Rangers in Crescent Reach, similar to the one for Drakkin Necromancers?

Might want to look at things like the Gemmed Warhammer You'd still have to find some shimmering steel, but you'd be amazed at what you can sometimes find on the vendors at zone-in/out of an expansion. I don't know your level but....

You could do the Wakizashi of the Frozen Skies quest from Stonebrunt Mountains, depending on your level, but I suspect there may be better available from Crescent Reach or even a drop from one of the new TSS zones.

Not sure of your level right now but at 16 ro 17 you can zone into Blightfire and there is a gnoll scout off to the right that offers a quest to collect rockbreakers hammers. You should be able to do this quest fairly easily and the reward is actually a very decent 1hb weapon. like 12/24 plus gnoll bane damage and minor stats and nice graphic on it as well.
