N00b question about hammers

I see things that ask for, smithy hammer, elven smithy hammer and combines smithy hammer. I have found a smithy hammer and the combines smithy hammer but can't seem to locate an "elven" smithy hammer.
Does elven smithy hammer = smithy hammer or am I just totally lost?
