  • Smithing in Progression Server

I've been having trouble finding a guide that doesn't include latest expansions so i'm counting on people's personal knowledge to help me here. I want a cheap route to 200 smithing, considering Luclin isn't out yet.

    Thanks !

you didn't look too hard. go to the main page. look at recipes. go to smithing. there you will see recipes divided by expansions. also, they are divided into tools, weapons, armors, conversions and whatnot.

file, sewing needle, scaler, toolbox, dairy spoon, lockpicks, banded gauntlets, banded mail, fine plate bracer, fine plate gauntlets, fine plate breastplate, tae ew plate bracers...

    BAM, 200.

All of that should work except maybe the Tae Ew. Have the progression servers seen the CT upgrade yet? I stopped playing there just before Velious.

Dunno where you're at on skill - but consider non-stick frying pans to get to 91. I did, and it's far cheaper than banded. As the market's about dead for banded now, I did actually sell a couple of these frying pans.

I had a full bag and a half in the bank, but I'm down to 4 now. Actually just sold a bag of them to the vendor, was a lot of hassle to unload these things as they don't sell for a whole lot.

It requires a little pottery work, but you only need to get it to 38 or so - and can do that simply making the ceramic linings.

Otherwise, I haven't worked smithing past 91 just yet, but my next plan would be cultural sewing kits

Human Heraldic armors on the sleeper server, luclin is now open.

Unimbued heraldic, also known as Fine heraldic combines as it should now that luclin is open.

Karana imbued, also known as Thunderous heraldic, also combines now.

The problem being that Rallos Zek imbued, known as Fierce Heraldic, does NOT combine.

If this information can be passed along to a Dev I would appreciate it, RZ cultural is the only reason I made this smith.

                Thank you

The issue is this. The designers of those tradeskills are no longer around for us to ask... "when was this introduced" and we could not find any good source that would tell us when something was introduced.

                  So...

Maddoc instead based his decision on stats of an item and made the changes based on stats. Most of the cultural fit in the "Luclin" stats level. These particular items fit in the "PoP" stats level.

That said, we figured that these were probably introduced pre PoP (but probably Post Luclin... so probably in a mid expansion patch)

With that in mind we went ahead and marked them as Luclin.

This will take a full patch though to make happen, so it will be a bit.

                        Timeline Idea..

You can go back through the WTF Comic Archives, alot of the key item patches were lovely comics...Like when sheet metal became stackable. They also made fun of new armor sets lots.

I've played since pre-kunark, and I couldn't tell you alot of them =/
I do however have notebooks full of old eqtraders printouts from luclin and before, if you want me to fed-ex a copy somewhere.

*proof I'm a tradeskill junkie is the content of this post*
