Need some info on getting started.

I am a lvl 62 barb warrior. lol Agnostic.

I need to get my Smith skill to 175 for Serubane, and need some info on just to get started to Banded, I can follow the Trivials after that.

I currently have 21 skill. What should i start at? I am an EQ tradeskill idiot.

Plat isnt much of an object, Just wanna get started to 100 or so then i can go from there.

Well there are already a couple of very good guides on the main site Here. That will definately get you started. Alternatively you can go here and go through the recipes and pick and choose your own method based on cost/trivial.

If you are looking for an easy one stop answer to "What to do to get to 100ish?" the stock answer is Condensed Shadow Arrowheads. They trivial at 116 IIRC, are relatively cheap, Condensed shadow can be bought in the Bazaar almost all the time, and is only one recipe you will have to worry about. This is by far not the best way, but it is the simplest without me rewriting a how-to guide(which are already available).

Alternatively, you could just do banded peice by peice till they triv. Start with the one sheet and go til they all triv then the 2 and 3 sheet items. It will be about the same cost as condensed shadow, depending on your servers economy, but won't require you to buy anything from players.

first of, BIG point here, the more you farm the cheaps the skilling is. with that said, here is an expensive way to get to 116, but only involves 2 zones and takes maybe 45 minutes, others will argue there are better ways, but this is quick and expensive.

goto bazaar, buy all the chunks of condensed shadow. I wouldn't recommend paying more than 3-4 p each. get ya about 250-300 if ya can.
find ya forge and combine chunk, file and flask of water, makes condensed shadow arrowheads (yields 2 per success).

then either give them to one of your fletching alt/mules or just sell them back to vendors. These arrowheads can be used to work fletching up to 250.


if skill up is your main concern, i'd reccommend having either your wis/int/str maxxed out as high as you can get it.


remember, the more you farm, then less it costs. So next time you post how much does ________- cost. the more you farm the less it cost.

barbarian huh, banded, i guess you're familiar with halas.

the banded recipies are out in EF, when zoning from halas to ef, there are those merchants at the top of the ramp, the one on the right has the banded patterns. You know where the forge is by the well in Halas? from the forge head south behind the building and turn right, there is the ore vendor. Everything you need for banded. except your geerlock.

Can i start arrowheads right now at 21 skill? Or what can i do to get to where i can start using them? This is my main concearn. What to do to get from 21 to wherever i can use the banded gorget or Shadow things easily.

yes, you can start them with a skill of 21, just be prepaired not to have too many successes.
