  • Froglok Smithing 230+

Currently, I am 229 with 5% mod and Mastery 1 (will be mastery two next week when I complete 1.5). I have the Journyman's trophy, should should have a 8% mod before very long.

As we all know the drop rates for Reptile teeth are horrid, so Master's skilling is a sometimes only thing. Thus I am currently doing GoD weapons, Magnetic, Black Arcylia, Tae Ew, Master's Augments, and plan on trying my first inlay / Bazu Armor when servers finally come up. I have a set of DoD Seal combines ready to do as well on server up.

I perfer a max of 6 or so combines (Vellium Gemmed Weapons) which I can also resell to turn profit (and thus increase the amount of potional combines.
I currently sell Master's Froglok Armor when I get Teeth for 3k per brick they use. I am the only person on the server I have seen selling the Master's gear. Two others I know of sell the Grandmaster Armor.

I from various farming and bazaar buying have a fairly large supply of most of the materials needed for Quicksilver Temper. If I had a stack of Fungiod sap, I could easily make 20 tempers.

I realize the demand for Ytterium Steel sheets is not very high, but how viable would this be for skilling? I am pretty sure I could keep myself in Quicksilver Temper pretty easy without spending much. I am looking for low subcombines which may increase my skill without lots of farming (I do not mind farming the bazaar).

My goal is to buy raw parts and sell them at a price slightly more then the combine. Thus the sale pays for the next combine as well. So anything which falls into that area is fair game.

Have I missed anything, or is there anything suggested I do differantly?

I am not doing MCS. Its not happening. Don't suggest it. If I ever see another sickle combine I think I may cry =(

You should do shadowscream at your skill lvl.

You refuse sickles and instead would rather farm fungoid sap? For skillup??

No comment other than that you are insane.

I already have enough Dust, Blood, and Ichor from when I previously did various things for several combines. All I need is the sap. Its not like I am farming all 4 parts for the temper.

If I was farming all four parts, I probly wouldn't even bother.

The other three components are negilible compared to the time it takes to farm sap.

Why do you think you've acquired 20 each of the others and 0 sap? Its NOT a coincidence.

I'm in the same boat, Fenier. Froglok, 230 skill. I have mastery3 and the 5% geerlok though. level 66, planar power1, so i have str of 370 with wunshi.

personally, i went the shadowscream route. it took about an hour to finish the quest and get the humming luclinite hammer and vah shir anvil (but i had the plate mail and swirling shadows in the bank already, and had already farmed a few wailing/shrieking substances). past 222 skill, it's taken me about 25-40 final combines for each skill point.

Had a good run of luck yesterday and gained 3 more skill points after server up doing GoD weapon combines. Upto 232 skill now, and starting to require Shimmering componants for further skill ups that route.

As for the sap, the deep isn't very popular on my server, and I seriously doubt most people would willing kill mushrooms for sap to make temper less they had plans to kill Seru.

In a strange turn of events with the RNG, the frog (233 skill, 5% mod SM1) just tried 4 GM Armor combines

                Arms - Fail
                Gloves - Made
                Arms - Made
                Bracer - Made

                Wooo

Get SM3 and a better mod and you'll be pretty much set at your best possible success rate on most GM combines minus BP and legs. See sig: my halfling and gnome's successes pretty much equal my human's on GM stuff despite the base skill difference.
