  • Victim of RNG or what?

I have down over 200 combines of Enchated Velium Bits at skill lvl 200 with 5% mod and 350+ strength and not one skill up. I know it gets tougher at this lvl but how many combos does it take? Calculater says i should be getting skill up about 10% of the time. Just another victim I guess.

Any chance you have another TS over 200? :/ I did that with my baking.

I have 2 other skills 200 or better. Baking at 212, and brewing at 200, now that you mention it, I did have a similar problem with the brewing

You can only have 1 tradeskill beyond 200 normally. For each additional tradeskill that you would like to take beyond 200 you need to spend 3 aa for a rank of New Tanaan Crafting Mastery.

Class/race specific tradeskills (research, tinkering, alchemy, poison making) do not count, only the generic 7. Thus you need to spend 18 aa for all 6 ranks of NTCM to get all 7 tradeskills above the cap of 200.

It should also be noted that if you only buy one point (ie spend 3 AAs) it just opens the opportunity for another tradeskill to advance past 200. You do not get to select when one goes over 200 next, except by the non-trivial combines you are doing. (Meaning if you want smithing to go over 200 next, you need to spend the 3 AAs for New Tanaan Mastery and then do non-trivial smithing combines until it hits 201. Otherwise, if you do some other combine (say Brewing) and it gets the point and goes to 201, then you will need to spend another 3 AAs to open another trade skill.
