Are some drops missing in Lavastorm on the Progression Servers?

I have run across hundreds of bricks of Fiery Ore in Lavastorm but have yet to see a single Imp Blood or Essence of Fire from a MoB in LS or on any vendors. I have also not yet seen a single Fiery Weapon. Am I just unlucky or are these two items not dropping?

Those were a kunark recipe I think.

I dunno if that has any bearing on the drops but I bet the recipe would be disabled anyway.

These came along well after Kunark, I forget if it was before or after LDoN and LoY.

These recipes are not disabled. I have smithed several Forged Firebrand weapons on The Combine server. The drops did not come from mobs in the Lavastorm Mountains zone and as I am fairly certain they came from mobs in Nagafen's Lair (I purchased them via vendor farming).

Imp Blood and Essence of Fire Drop much more frequently in Sol B.

I don't know about other servers, but on Combine there are no longer imps roaming around in LS like there used to be, so you're not gonna get any imp blood from there.

Got to farm sol a and sol b

those are the only places dropping both essence of fire and imp bloods.
Unfortunatly, with kunark out now and the flooding of items from Jagged pine (long fang glave etc) the value of the Firebrand weapons is far below the work that goes into the collection of the items to make it.

I can confirm that I have seen Essence of Fire drop on the combine server off the Fire elementals. Though it seemed a bit odd that the only two times I have seen it so far, was off two rare tougher then any other fire elementals randomly roaming.

And for those who haven't been to Lavastorm in awhile, the imps, and drakes which drop the blood and fiery ore are back.
