This is probably somewhere but

what do you do when u run out of molds?

Have you used up your book that created the molds yet?

a) If so, you have to repeat the quest you got from your hometown person to get the molds to begin with

b) If you still have the book, you can just buy the ingredients needed to remake the molds and repeat this up to 9x more times (not sure if you'd only made 1 set of molds since there is a maximum of 10 sets you can make before your book wears out completely and you need to redo (a) above.

The slots will stack so you can buy enough items to just make 9x more sets of the mold and stack them into 1 bag.

This has been on my mind recently since the task was easy but waiting for repop for the casters was time consuming. Can I get the task and start redoing it in advance of actually wearing my book out?

Yes. DO it but don't hand in the final item until the book poofs. That way you get the new book right away

What Grolyn said.. as a side note tho, only the Aug quests are Tasks.. the armor (molds/patterns) is just and old school 4 item turn in.. so you can have the stuff sitting in the bank for when you run out. I personally got the GM aug quest again just after I finished it - I figured there's no point to me doing creator missions that I don't get credit for after how long it took me to finish the dang task the first time.
