Prathun (I think it was him) posted on the Sony boards that it might be possible to live-copy just the one zone, but in another thread, one of the devs said something about being in design lock (which sounded odd to me, since as far as players know, no major patches are imminent).

Design lock?!? Design lock!?!? {what} is that?!?!

I have farmed wailing substances, and swirling shadows to reach 267. I've done all the subcombines for 350 sickle attempts. It's just waiting on those wolves. I've tried killing the wolves in TM. Was able to complete trophy, but those wolves are slow to farm. I need hollowshade fixed and back up 'n' running.

      arrrrrgggg

Design lock basically means the devs are locked out of making any design changes (hence the name). This gives QA a chance to test out changes in their final state before they're pushed to live servers. You'll occasionally hear EQ devs talk about design lock or code lock (for the programming side) right before a major patch. If I recall right, code lock for a new expansion is something like a week before the expansion launch date -- only critical bug fixes are allowed in the last few days. (Note: I don't actually work for Sony, so all this is my impressions from reading various developer postings over the last few years.)

          That sounds about right.

I will try and remember to poke Prathun about it and see if it can be pushed. I am not aware of a design lock currently.

I also do not know what change he had to make. some changes do not work for a live patch and he may have misspoken. Will have to see when I can talk to him.

If I understand correctly, the war got broken when SOE tried to push the fixed pathing to live so it oculd be pathing issue.

It only made it out of QA on Friday, and we try to not even make livecopies on Friday in case there are problems.

He will be trying to get it livecopied early this week.

                Appears to be fixed

After weeks of the Owlbears being in control, the sonic wolves are now back on Povar. Not a moment too soon - I was starting to get twitchy. I don't have enough space to have a backpack filled with no drop items I can't use.

Thanks to Prathun for getting this resolved and saving what little sanity I have left.
