Journeyman Smith Trophy

Today I completed this quest, or I thought I did.

I have Beginner Smith Trophy and Journeyman Smith Certificate.

I placed them in New Tanan Forge but

"You cannot combine these items in this container type."

I placed them in the Forge in the Guild Hall but

"You cannot combine these items in this container type."

Edit: I discovered the error. Contrary to original concepts, one equips the trophy and puts only the Certificate in the trade skill container.

And when the NPC gives you the trophy she says you must have the trophy in hand. knowing it was slightly different mechanics, I had the NPC tell you what to do.
