Tier 4 smithing tempers

Having a real hard time finding the stones you need to grind to powder for crafted elemental armors

flowing rainbow temper - air mephit blood, gaseous condensate, crushed fog fragment
liquid stone temper - earth mephit blood, vial of liquified earth, powdered chip of granite
povarian mist temper - water mephit blood, shimmering fish gills, powdered soapstone
liquid inferno temper - fire mephit blood, portion of metallic substance, powdered magma crytal

any info on the mobs that drop these stones would be much appreciated, my mule is getting bogged down with the rest of the materials

Well, theres a whole mess of people in 4th tier planes at the moment, about 16+ guilds at the moment and i see that some people have crafted the plane of water armor so those stones are somewhere around here P i just dont know where at!

yea we just got started in the tier 4 planes and i can't find any of the materials either. Can't find the magma crystals... hey, where did you find the portion of metallic substance?

well, i just got a magma crystal off a flame lordling or whatever, need 3 of them to combine in a kiln or something ot make the powdered stuff...

i still want to know where you get the portion of metallic substance thought

The bricks are called brick of immaculate steel for earth armor i believe, i got 3 of those. You crush stones in mortar&amp;pestles for the dust stuff, we got some of the fire stones today as well, the rest of the planes i havent seen any from.

Not quite. "Metallic Substance" is the rare temper component for Inferno Temper for Plane of Fire smithing combines and "Brick of Immaculate Ore" is the ore used in Plane of Earth smithing combines.

Metallic Substance is also WAY too rare. I've seen one in the last few months.

Aye, bars of immaculate steel are for Earth armors.
As for the original question posted above.
I know that soapstones come from the slarilugh model mobs in Plane of water and seem to be uncommon drops. (as I have only seen one so far)

Has anyone seen a granite chip drop for earth tempers yet?

granite chips drop from the stone rock model mobs (which also drop the ever abundant immaculate steel). The granite seems to be the most uncommon drop, although the liquified earth is not at all common. Steel is insanely common and the blood is not all the uncommon, it is just hard to find mephits a single group can fight.

The thing holding me back is granite by a far margin. To farm these, try near the zone, pull the mobs around the stone platau, and avoid as many of the roamers as you can.

Sometimes I wonder why Yakimitza feels the need to make us do pointless steps which cause us to be unable to smith even simple armor pieces like bracers. The fact that we have to farm not 1 granite chip/soapstone/fog/magma crystal is bad enough, but to have to get 3 just to even attempt an armor is annoying
Granted at least this time around it's three items in four items out as opposed to 2 windstones in 1 out.
