Enchanted Velium Bits until you get to 222, then if you can stand it, shadowscream to 262. After that, do anything you can lay your hands on; bazu, magnetized, muramite sheets/chain links, masters, grandmasters, seals, tae ew, etc.

As an ogre, definitely check out your cultural armor options. You'll need to make nice with an enchanter and a shaman or two, but it might be less frustrating than the above options, if more expensive. Plus as I recall, it has a decent tribute value.
Ok thanks for the assist,i already have a lvl 70 shaman i can use him.Sure i can find a good enchanter in guild as well.I was hoping i could go the cultural route.I think that is the way i will go.
EVBs to 222 (not too expensive, not too much farming for the velium which I farmed in Crystal Caverns).
Shadowscream to 261 (a lot harder than EVBs but it costs zero pp and does not take up THAT much time in farming).
I still need to push to get to 267 but farming Shadow Island some more for the swirling shadows is not yet appealing (at least there I make a few pp profit from the other drops there).
BTW the gauntlet mold that is part of the recipe for the 262 trivial Shadowscream Steel Gloves has a listed price of around 3 pp. In POK I bought them for 3 gold instead. The buying price as well as the sell back price of the finished product were both about 2.7 pp less than what I was expecting.
These discrepancies from what I was expecting for the most part cancel each other out since the success rate of these gloves is 95% when going from 248 to 262. However I thought I would mention it for the sake of completeness.
Sitting at 199 and having just completed Freshman Smithing Trophy, I bought components for 100 combines of EVBs. I dinged 200 after 9 combines but failed to get another skill up in the next 92 combines. The calculator says I should have a 10.5% of a skill up with my Str sitting at 455.
Did I just get a extremely unlucky with the RNG?
NM: I'm an idiot, LOL. Forgot to train another level New Tanaan Crafting Mastery. Expensive lesson!
