  • Pevb?

im currently at 228 in smithing, and was thinking if PEVB would be an alternetive to Shadowscream, was looking at MCS but the sheer number of subcombines freak me out... im a Frog, so the cultural route aint an option (stupid teeth)... or any other suggestions?

    P.S.. is PEVB learnable?

PEVB is an alternative, no idea if its learnable. It cost a good bit so unless you have a million plat to burn (1M plat is a conservative estimate, not an excaduration), you are much better off sticking to sickles.

I think the item is Pure Enchanted Velium Bar, or something like that...

Never done PEVB ... but if you plan ahead, a run of 60ish MCS combines isn't that bad (though you gotta find someone to imbue the 200 emeralds per run).

i was contemplating this myself, compared to sickles, simply for the speed of combines... but each combine would cost about 800pp. 3 velium bars for about 262pp each, then the time of enchanting the bars yourself for free, or tack on some extra plat for someone else to enchant them; 6p or so for the temper, and about 7pp or so for each purified water (2 water flask and 1 celestial essence).

with str at 400, that's still gonna cost probably around 16kpp per skill point, if skillup once a stack, which is a generous estimate, based on my experience with 200-222 skill points.

how many successes would you be getting? how much could you sell the PEVB's for? not nearly enough to break even, i expect...

PEVB's are no drop so its a total loss. Its way faster than sickles though. Up to the individual wether the plat or the time is more valuable.

oh, i knew the enchanted velium bits were no drop. i see now that the pure enchanted velium bars are too. well, that sucks. the rings you make with them are no drop too, i see... lame.

well, looks like i need to get started on MCS's then, gotta buy a crapload of emeralds, level a druid to 29 and start enchanting...

                    Advice for Imbuing:

Bind right outside the guild hall. Then group with a necro and go anywhere and have the necro cast mana wrack...then cast gate immediately and zone into the guild hall....you should get in with about 4 seconds of mana wrack left, which wont run off....then go and stand in the spa and you will have great mana regen, gets you an extra cast or two of imbue, and lets you get done faster.

A beastlord's paragon will also give you ridiculous mana regen if you stand in your guild pool.

Unless it had changed, you could not bind in guild hall.

Probably why he said bind right outside guild hall.

/agree with above poster. Get a BST to Paragon you in the guild lobby (or guild hall if you have a guildy BST.) That's what I did. I used my BST to Paragon my 29 druid and clerics for imbues (emeralds, star rubies) and just chain casted. I used one of my cleric's mounts, too...but Paragon is a godsend in the GH.
