  • fast 200 to 220

i'm a chanter 66 hie and want to begin the aid grimmel quest.
I'd like to know what path do u advise to go grom 200 to 220 fast.

**I still have a bunch of morning dew so I dont know if the cultural makes sense, the essence seems to be a pain.
**I Have some loy temper also but not that much.
**I can make the shadowcream but found it could be long as I dont farm very well as a chanter
**I heard mistloe components were available for purchase but I suspect the whole combine to be relativly expensive, I'm ok to spend like 50k on this.
**I can farm velium more easily to make enchanted velium bits, that seems the most efficient way to skill up quickly without spending that much money on it.

    what would you do ?

You need to be elemental planes flagged before you can finish the Aid Grimel quest:-)

        Follow up question..

Do you have have to have the previous quest flags in this quest to do this combine? Or is elemental plane flag the only limit?

Second, if you have to be doing the quest, does it require full a elemental flag (fire/air/earth/water) or can you get by with Earth/Water/Air flag?

Essence of Moonlight isn't as rare as you might think. Ever since the change was made to allow any mob in Mistmoore to drop it, it's been pretty common... it even drops off of the mobs in the BB LDoN adventures. You should be able to vendor mine a few around that area as well.

The swirling mist is the more uncommon portion of the temper, and it's not exactly rare either.

That being said, enchanted velium bits are by far your quickest route.

No brainer for me, you can stack velium, only drawback is you get cold feet running around on all the ice hallways in that zone.

To complete the quest, you'll need full access to PoFire (ie must have SolRo kill). You can collect (or buy) all the components with fewer flags, but wont be able to get the quest pieces from Grimmel without the SolRo kill. But even short of the final earring, you can complete through the one that gives +17 to most stats without needing too many flags.

EVB is the prolly the cheapest and easiest way to raise your skill, except for the 210-212 stretch where you'll want to do the ethereal rings/sheets as they're much cheaper and easier (often referred to as the two free points).

Arguably, those points are no longer as cheap as they once were, unless you're actively doing PoP content and collecting Bricks of Ethereal Energy as you go along. I don't know how well rings sell these days, but most likely you won't get your cash back if you have to buy bricks off vendors. So, don't ignore the Ethereal Rings, but don't feel you absolutely must do them either.

With the velium breakdown changes... I don't recommend it either. Just do EVB all the way to 222... it doesn't get any easier than this.
