Great news for chiselers!

Not only did today's patch make ore stackable, but they also now create 2 pieces of ore from the one you chiseled down.

I don't think it was mentioned in the patch notes, but I just chiseled a block of acrylia ore and it returned 2 large bricks of acrylia ore. When I chiseled down the large bricks, I got 2 small bricks per chisel.

I like this change!

I was surprised when I saw (way back when) that wasn't the way it worked all along. Imagine how much mess you'd have left over if you chiseled a block of acrylia all the way down to a single small piece

way back when they added chiseling, i seem to remember there was a post somewhere that indicated they intended for us to get multiple bricks but there was an issue with putting 2 non-stackable bricks on your cursor so you only got the one.

i'm not making this up but i had no luck looking for the information and i dont' suppose it matters much at this point =) very happy it is happening now though! =)

I confirmed the same thing with Velium. Block now yields two large bricks, which each yield two small bricks, which each yield two small pieces. I'll get the Velium and Acrylia updated in the database. If you find any other ore lines with changed yields, please post in the database update forums so we don't miss them.

Small bricks of velium now stack! I imagine this made the chiselling return easier. It's also a HUGE benefit to those of us trying to find enough for our smithing/tailoring

3 items (2 tarnished weapons and one of the high value ores) changed pricing to no longer be a money exploit becasue of that

If there are any money exploits I missed, please bring them up, and don't abuse them.

Yeah, I love the acrylia ore change. Now I can just go nuts in AC and load up enough to supply my Tempest bow production line and only need to worry about ferrying the bricks of steel from Surefall with my druid - though I was disappointed once I noticed they weren't affected by the change.
