  • Night Terror Smithed Armor - minimum skill?

    Hi all!

I'm currently collecting the items for some night terror armor, and my skill is currently 195 (unmodified). I have a geerlock that will give me 5 % on top of that.

Is there a minimum skill required to attempt the Night Terror armors? Does anyone have any data on success rates for this armor?

    Thanks for your help!

I'm at 233 plus geerlock and have made the following:

    1/2 chain tunic
    1/1 chain legs
    1/1 chain arms
    1/1 chain bracer

You can probably make some pieces at 195 + modifier, but the components are so hard to get that it might not be worth the risk. I'd make a great push to get 210 raw skill and then try a few. This way you might have 50% success rate which will bring you some reward, as opposed to just frustration.

      at 250 skill
      I'm
      1/2 on breastplates (plate)
      2/2 on Chain tunics
      1/1 plate legs
      1/1 plate arms
      1/1 plate boots
      0/1 plate helm

      so 6/8 overall

        Skill & success

I believe this is a 201 Modified Skill Capped Combine. With your current skill & Geerlok you will be able to attempt the combines. I would estimate your success at that level to be about 20% or so.

At 250 + Gm Smithing hammer.

        4 / 5 Chain tunics
        3 / 3 chain pains
        1 / 1 plate BP
        1 / 1 Plate Greaves

Success is pretty good. I have lost a few tempers in the combine, and a few rings to the Trivial combines.

I would suggest having enough combines for 4-5 attempts per piece at your current skill.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll try for a few more skill ups before attempting it, but if my bank space gets too packed, and I get too frustrated with the lack of skill ups, I've been known to combine stuff just so I don't have to look at it anymore!
