Vha Shir GM DoN quest

I hope this is the right forum...

My wife and I have a handful of smiths and tailors, but chose to focus on our vha shir shaman as the manufacturer for DoN symbols. We completed the Master level quest, moved on to the GM quest, and successfully completed the first few steps (120 stillmoon creature kills, 40 kirin manes looted, and 4 turned in).

We are now stuck at the final steps (kill kirin loremaster, loot horn), simply because we cannot find a loremaster anywhere.

We've been doing the Diseased Pumas mission in Stillmoon at the 63-67 tier. (This was how we achieved the prior steps in our GM quest) There is one kirin on the bridge, a wanderer kirin around that same area, 1 tucked away in the first side-room off of the grotto area, and 3 more kirins in the far gazebo. We've killed the first two kirins somewhere around 30+ times each, and they always seem to be be watchers or teachers. Ditto for the kirin in the first side-room. I've left the gazebo kirins alone (there are ~9 mobs in that area, making it tough to pull), but they have been teachers and watchers every time I checked track.

So, here are my questions for anyone who has completed this mission...

(1) Do the loremasters even spawn in sub-68 tier missions?
(2) What mission did you do to get your loremaster kill and horn loot? (and what was the general spawn loc?)

I assume that, given that the GM quests are now 65 required, the loremaster will spawn in 63-67 tier missions, but am at a loss as to why we have yet to see one. Are we doing the wrong mission, or looking in the wrong locale?

Not sure about lower tier mission. i hunted in the level 70 Puma mission quite often and loremaster pop every time. The mobs are level 67.

Looking from where you zone in from the puma mission, the loremaster roam between the far right room and the spawn in mid bridge. There is another few that spawn in the big garden together with the puma, 3 horses/kirins and one puma together in one spot.

Keep trying. Diseased Pumas is where I got the horn to complete my GM quest. Took a while before a horn dropped from a loremaster....which of course was looted by the ML who offered it to me in the trade window before I could type NOOOOOOOOOO! Fortunately for my sanity, another loremaster popped later in the same mission and also dropped a horn.

Hmm, that signifies to me that it's 68+ tier only... we have killed that spawn somewhere around 50+ times, and it was always a watcher or a teacher.

Just wanted to post a follow-up on this...

After it became apparent that stillmoon loremasters simply do not spawn in the sub-68 tier stillmoon missions, we levelled up our trio to the next tier (something we've been intentionally avoiding... as puller AND tank, the fact that I lack my 69 lull and therefore have to FD split the caster mobs makes it pretty much impossible for us).

Sure enough, the first kirin we saw in the Diseased Pumas mission was a loremaster. Because we were only capable of killing singles, we ended up killing the bridge kirin and the wandering kirin (provided one or both were loremasters), dropping the mission and starting it all over again. Definitely a lame way of doing things... took us 18 instances to get our 10 kills. Then, it took another 6 loremaster kills before we finally had a horn drop.

Given that the GM quest was changed to be 65 required, these quests REALLY need to be changed to have the requisite mobs spawn in the 63-67 tier instances also, in my opinion.

Regardless, we now have our GM pattern book, and our smith, at 233 skill, (+Smithing master 3 and salvage 2), was 8 for 9 on symbol combines:
1/1 boots
2/2 bracers
1/1 sleeves
1/1 cuirass
3/4 greaves
