Having some starting trouble

Hi all i'm new to tradskills and to eqtraders but i would like to take up smithing. I looked around eqtraders for a good guide but I can't seem to find one that is current. All of them were written in 2003 and before. Does anyone know where to find a reliable link to an up to date guide? Any help is much appreciated thanks,
