Stuck at 200 with EVB...

is it normal to do 100+ combines without a skill up with EVB at level 200? I did EVB prior to this without problems. It has become disheartening

Do you have other skills over 200, that might prevent you from raising it without the appropriate AA?

It is not normal, but yes it can happen. Assuming a couple of things about your stats you have a range from about 66-107 combines to have a 99.9% chance of skill-up. There is still a .1 percent chance you won't get it...

and any time you click combine you still only have at most a 1/10 chance at those skill levels without any AAs etc.

Now, you can't get over 200 in more than one skill at a time without the crafting mastery... so.... that's the other alternative.... (As I see someone else has already asked.

You can only raise one tradeskill above 200. After you spend a couple AAs in New Taanan Tradeskill Mastery, you can raise a second one above 200.

I belive Ishwar is pointing out that your are only allowed to take 1 of the 7 main tradeskills (baking,brewing,fletching, smithing, Jewellrycraft, tailoring & pottery) over the 200 triv level before without spending 3 AA points on Tannan skills (allowing you to take the other 6 over the 200 triv mark).
Check you other TS's if any are over 200 then you will need to invest AAs before you can increase your smithing.

OMG I feel so stupid, but thank you, this is the problem LOL! Forgot all about Tannan and with so many toons....I forgot about it. Found I had brewing at 250.
