  • Seeking help on marketing sickles for tribute

Someone mentioned that you could market Sickles as tribute loot. Does anyone ave any experience in this? If so, who would burn plat for tribute value, and what can you sell Sickles at for this purpose?

Sickles are worth 1312 tribute. On my server, sickles ar going for anywhere from ~225 to 300 plat, which is more than a 4:1 tribute to plat ratio. Check prices on your server, and sell accordingly.

Completely depends on your server and how many other people are doing the same thing at the same time. I started at 250 and was down to 200pp each at the end since there were a few others working on skill-ups. Anyhow, a simple:

/auction Mistletoe Cutting Sickles for just 200pp each! They tribute for 1312, giving you ~6x's the value of the cost!

I'd normally sell out pretty quickly, but not every time.

I figured I could break even selling sickles at 328 each (without salvage AA) -- one quarter of the tribute value. I tried actioning and advertising and bazaaring, and managed to sell a few, but not many. 300 is a pretty common low-price in the bazaar, and occasionally someone impatient goes lower. Actually, I think people's math skills are so low that 300 is easy to understand and 328 is too complicated. At 300 you don't lose too much money, and you can be sure nobody's making them for profit.

Tribute is definitely the main sickle market. In the bazaar I usually go a few days with no sales, or just one to someone actually getting the earring... and then someone comes buy and takes at least 20. If you're really lucky you might find someone who wants 100 or 150 at once, to max their tribute.

The problem with selling scycles for tribute is that there are alot of easlly farmable items out there that are worth alot more in tribute. And hardly anybody does the earring quest anymore since mana regen items are so easy to get with DoN crystals.

Check with teh raid guilds on your server and se if they would be interested in buying tribute. Most raid guilds blow a lot per evening. They might offer a worse deal than selling them in bazaar, but it would clear out space for you to make more a lot faster. Or maybe you can trade tribute for items etc.

I'm in a raiding guild, we blow about 800-1k tribute every 10 mins a night. I went from about 238 to 300 on sickles, and 4 months later I still keep our tribute maxed out.
