  • High-end smithed armor for Rangers?

Is there any high end cultural armor that is Ranger wearable? I was planning on outfitting a friend who is moving from another server to mine with some cultural armor but looking at the recipies, it appears that Rangers cannot wear either the blessed full plate or the chain (and the chain gear doesn't have very good stats for a ranger anyway). Is there any good smithed armor that a Ranger can wear? There should be some high end chain armor I'd think that a ranger could wear.

    Thanks,
    Eachann

There's some blue diamond (high end, so to speak) smithed armor that's ranger wearable, but this depends a lot on race. Fine Seafarer's (human) may have a few pieces that could be of use to a human or half elf ranger (bracers, for example).
Tunarean scout armor is ranger armor tailored by wood elves and has mainly +STR and +WIS. Depending on race, Brellium chain is possible (for a halfling ranger), but it looks a lot like fine seafarer's statwise.

There's always tiger raptor armor (tailored) that's ranger only or Engraved royal velium armor has some useful pieces for a rng, but you'll have to be pretty good (roughly 150+) in JC, Tailoring, and smithing.

Lastly, there's Acrylia chain, dwarven chain, and Shadowscream armor, but none are really "high end." Regular seafarer's isn't worth the temper to make it.

      Night Terror Chain

      Try the Night Terror Chain.

Tier 1 PoP Armor. As long as you can wear it, you'll generally be getting better AC than the BD cultural chain: tunic is AC 40 (vice 30 for Fine Seafarers), leggings are 24 AC (vice 22 for Fine Seafarers), other pieces also better in AC. Wisdom isn't the best, but stats are generally better than the cultural chain. Required level of 45, recommended level of 60.
