seems to be a great way to skill up to 300. only prob: you need earthen temper and lava rocks. so here is my question: what is the best zone to farm lava rocks and meteor rocks? i tried nagafens for a bit, didnt get many rocks at all. i also tried elementals in the hole. sucky droprate as well.

so if there any good farming spots, plz tell me.

I am not sure what Meteor Rocks are, couldn't find them in this sites database. But with Lava Rocks this site lists:-

This item is dropped from mobs:
      Crypt of Nadox
      an abhorrent element

      Lavastorm Mountains
      fire elementals
      Lord Nagafen's Lair (Sol B)
      fire giants

      Najena
      fire elementals

      Skyfire Mountains
      wyverns

      Twilight Sea
      a fire elemental

Personally, I used to farm the fire elementals from Twilight Sea inbetween clearing Shadow Isle for swirling shadows. The Wyverns had an ok drop rate from memory, but I have not really tested the others myself.

I assume you will make the mercury with an alt rogue.

        Twilight Sea for teh win!

Kill all the elementals, as I believe they share a common spawn table. Make sure you have see invis up, as some of the elementals are invisiable when not attacking.

The fire elementals drop lava rock, and the earth elementals yield drops of mercury. As mentioned before, the mercury can also be made by rogues, but I'm old school and used to having to farm my own.

        Good luck to you!

Yeah, kill Earth & Fire Elementals in Twilight Sea.

Kill Air (the invis ones) and Water elementals for stuff like Essence of Wind (Acrylia Chain & Plate) & Swirling Mists (High Elf Cultural).

Yeah Twilight Sea is a great spot and the faction hits you get there won't matter. I used to run around collecting a huge train of mobs then stand and fight them while a druid kept a DS on me and did occasional heals. Now you could do the same, just buy a DS potion and maybe a couple of heal potions (just in case). The low drop rate is overshadowed by the fact that you can collect both rocks and mercury in one spot.

Personally, I got tired of the farming and just set up a buyer in the bazaar. 15pp each for Lava Rocks and Mercury netted me 6 stacks of each within a week while I was offline. It would have taken me much longer to farm the stuff and the money I spent was easily recouped adventuring.
