  • CT smithing components update

Well, seems they changed the drop rate on Tae Ew Blood. Managed to score 6 STACKABLE Tae Ew Blood last night in 4c. Being stackable, this leads me to the conclusion that its intended.

In the same time, I did not see any Prisitne Scales or Flawless Tae Ew Hides. Luckily I had some stored from my 5 or so months of hunting CT looking for blood etc. Unfortunately its a small supply, but managed to ahev a tailor I know make me leather legs.

Anyways, wanted to drop you all a line and let you know in case you were a blood or so short of anything you are trying to make.

Took 12 to cazic last night and fought our way to 4 corners before I had to leave. Got 4 bloods in that time. Considering the right bastards these things are to fight (ae rain, dot/slow) and they give less xp than your average crappy pon mob, I think its good that they upped the drop rates

Wasnt the "Dont Panic" thing for halfling tailors supposed to be "Dont worry, the bags require blood, which is too rare!"?

Now, we may have just had a decent sized bite taken out of the already small haversack market.

CT Bags < Haversacks < Tink Bags

In terms of weight. Now that there is a better alternative (Possibly), then maybe the rich monks with lots of plat will simply farm CT for the blood, and get the Taw Ew Sacks.

      Or, maybe not.

I found 9 blood on a vendor last night. That was definitely a first. Now that they are common the 210pp I spent on each prob wasn't the best thing, but oh well. Time to find some hides.

Well, from my XP so far, they upped the blood drop rates, not the hides or the scales. So you still have big rare hurdle in the hides/scales for anything to be produced. Not to mention that the zone XP over 60 isnt what it used to be. I think the Halfling tailored bag market is safe. Anyone using a Flawless Tae Ew Hide on a WR bag when it takes only 2 to make 90 HP leather legs is seriously missing something. Since CT came live last May or whenever, I have seen 4 Pristine Scale drops, 3 Flawless Tae Ew Hide drops & 2 Te Ew blood drops prior to the upgrade to the blood drop rate. Good luck on the farming and post here if the Scales/Hides drop has increased as well please. Thanks.

People make those stupid halfling bags? Dear god, why? I'm sorry, but with as many blue diamonds as they require, just buy a tink bag and be done with it. At 50% success rate, I think someone would barely make a profit on them anyways. Hell, better yet, sell off the blue diamonds to make em, buy a tink bag and bank the rest of the coin.

Now if only they would up iksar blood drops

                Especially in quantity.

                0.4 * 6 = 2.4 weight less

                0.4 * 8 = 3.2 weight less

Well, took 8 of my guildmemebers to 4c Sat night. We held Adpet to ritualist and everything in between. In a 4 or so hour session, we score 23 Tae Ew Blood ! Lol it kills me that I spent 5 months in CT farming stuff for Tae Ew Plate Legs & in that time, I still had to buy 1 blood & 2 scales...

Speaking of scales - and hides. We have had a few sessions in CT now. I have seen 2 Pristine Scales drop. No Hides. Its too early yet for me to determine if the scales were just good luck or they have actually upped the drop rate.

                    Guess time will tell.

Sadly, due to the current reports on drop rates, I expect to see plenty of Weapons, Shields & Chain Armour being made... while the Plate will remain excessively rare.

well its not totally bad..least the chain classes wont feel so left out after not getting chain drops from ToV time and time again..and CT chain is comparable

the plate BP is a AC 50 BP which puts it in league with ToV plate or a Vindi BP (or a new cultural BP)..and thats pretty much the top of the ladder for most BPs ..not counting PoP stuff

makes the cultural BP the easiest by far to obtain..have smithy will travel (and since the market for BDs has bottomed out, these are affordable)..i figger sice ToV and Vindi BPs are very contested items if not uncommon drops...it makes a nice niche for cultural plate

                          4C - where is it?

Having started playing EQ after Cazic Thule was upgraded I've never fought there. Can someone point out where exactly 4C is, maybe by referring to the maps on eqatlas?

4C, or Four corners, is the base of what was once called the Archon Temple, as the Tae Ew Archon (one of 'em anyhow) spawned at the top. You have to go through the maze (most mobs do not see invis, but it only takes one)
