anyone found a good constant place to farm this ?

  • #2
The Deep is about as close to constant as I've found, so far. Camped thought horrors for around 4 hours and walked out with around 40 pieces.

The Deep isn't too bad for them. Check the vendors in Shadow Haven for bricks also, sometimes they have them.

Alternatly, if you are a class that can't shrink, go camp your shrink wand. Should have plenty of Yittrium Ore after that, lol.

I got my shrink wand doing my Dwarven Master's Symbol quest. That's a fun camp.

Well, fun in the context of having to kill what seemed like 23,534 thought horrors to do that part of the quest.

I was in the Deep yesterday killing horrors on the way to the THO and didn't get more than 3 bricks Are there better sections of the zone, or did I just have some bad luck? Was in zone for at least 3 hours, only spending about 30 minutes killing shrooms before heading to horrors.

I agree... I was there for about an hour and a half and got 2 pieces, then switched tactics and went to Akheva for the mind worms and didnt get any and getting them to spawn constantly didnt work well... so frustrating

I remember having a lot of it back when farming for VT shards. Has anyone tried fungus grove? I can't remember, but something dropped there I wanted I thought?

Shissar temple drop? Yes for sure the Deep. I got a lot of acrylia in the Deep as well, especially doing that event with all those worm larvae things.

I know those aren't listed, but I remember being there a lot when I had that stuff. The grey dropped it too, as listed in search.

How does one even get past the 3 super horrors that are just past the turn off to the wand camp?

Those can't be mezd, rooted, or pac'd. They see invis. They hit for 300+. That hurts even at 67.

If you take the long way to the camp you won't encounter as man see-invis mobs, if any at all. I did this just the other day and the only thing that saw through was a mushroom. You can read the Necromancer's discussion of how to get to the wand camp here.

I cross the bridge, then go North. I enter the northmost tunnel across the bridge (ancient shriekers there) then follow it to the marked camp.

Never came across an Elder Thought Horror in my travels that way.

I have been 2-boxing a shaman (59 at the time) and it was very easy with that setup. I could handle pulls of 3-4 without too much worry.

Crossed bridge, turned left all the way to the end, and killed my way following map.
I came to a Y intersection. Elders were left, and on map the right way was to the dead end camp.
The elders were too close to the other tunnel to slip by.

The way I take to the shrink wand camp has no elder thought horrors. It's a north path from the bridge, it's marked on my map I downloaded so it's hard to describe. Anyway, that's where I've looted a majority of my yttrium ore, I just set up camp at the T to the south of where the imperceptible spawns and I pull from all 3 directions and never have a lack of pulls that are that far away. There is also an elder that can be single pulled from that camp, he's like three pulls from the west and has a much better chance of dropping the page for the VP quest. Don't pull beyond that single thought horror from that direction, though, unless you want to be in a world of hurt.

Yttrium also drops off the skeletons around the lake in the Grey, but there's only like 8 skeletons there so limited spawns. I've heard rumors of guards in Seru dropping ytrrium but haven't tried them yet.
