I have a few questions, but also information to share.

The "creatures" dont all count as creatures. I have found only drake models count for the 120 creature kills. Looking broken claws dont count in instances, but killing drakes do.

My question is about the non instanced zone. I soloed there a few times. The entrance drake models: do they drop the fractured claws?

Is there a good camp for drakes?
I kited and tanked outside for a while and just on the bridge.
When I went inside the building I just got a lot of adds in the hallway and had to fd a bunch to shake them, then had to go.

Where is a good camp to get the claw drops?

Edit: As of May 14, I did the Creator mission twice. Now I did have many non instanced Thundercrest kills already done, but my isle creature kills counted as did the 10 claws I looted.

Looting in non-instanced zones does not count for these tasks, unfortunately. Please /feedback or post at EQLive forums if you want this changed - I certainly have.

As far as I know all the collect 80 tasks only drop them in instances.

For the kill 120 part, generally speaking you've to match the name. For example the Stillmoon Temple task requires 120 creatures of Stillmoon, so A Stillmoon Goblin Whatever counts, but an Iron Warder or A Goblin Laborer will not count. Oddly enough a Stillmoon Leopard in Ascent counts even though it's not even in the right zone.

I looted lots of Fractured Drake claws in Tirraniums Delve instances prior to ever seeing Thundercrest, but whenever I zoned my count would be reset to 0. After doing several Thundercrest missions I noticed 1) Any Isle creature counted towards the 120, not just drakes (Had to have name start with Isle). 2) When I went other zones after that my claws count would go up.

I can't say for certain but my guess is that when you zone it does a check and does not allow you amount of claws looted to exceed your number of Isle Creatures killed. Like it or not, I can at least see a reasoning behind it since how could you have more claws then kills if you did the mission as intended?

You will kill 120 long before you're even close to collecting 80.

The collect 80 usually have to be in the zone they specified too. All goblins drop skin in instances but only the ones in Stillmoon (with the word Stillmoon in their name) counts for the collect part.

For my halfling druid, it says in her grandmaster task to collect in Stillmoon, I've looted the drake claws in Lavaspinners drake instances and received credit for them. The one task where you kill just drakes is pretty easy, it can be two boxed. It was recently nerfed to only 28 crystals though.

Did this rescently change. I've tried not that long ago, and Grounding the drakes just did not count towards the Fractured Drake Claws total. I know it did at one point, but it did not seem to count when I did it.
