300 Smiths Sound Off Here!

Was sitting at 297 for what seemed like forever. Made subcombines for 150 sickle attempts. Then someone asked me to make a White Gold Inlay for them... ding (298). Ten sickles later, ding (299). Three sickles after that, ding (300)!!!

Now it's time to hit the fabrics. Tailoring's all that's left.

Let me tell you, I am extremely dissatisfied.

Upon reach 300 with a mod of 315 I immediately attempted the following:

2 Arms
1 Legs
1 Boot

All failures. What complete and utter b.s. I had 9 drake scales saved up to make what I thought would enable me to make several items, some of which I was going to use myself. 6 Drake Scales down the toilet at 20K a piece. Poofed 120K.

I'm sorry, but I did not go through thousands of combines costing over 200k to lose another 120 on finals.

I think SOE needs to examine this.

Ding 300 Iksar Smith Saryrn

Well I finally dinged 300 smithing on Saryrn last night. I put myself through this hell b/c when I started there seemed to be no 300 iksar smiths on my server and I want cultural gear. Now I only know of one other.

Although hearing all of failures, I'm nervous to do any combines. I don't want to know that I've blown countless hours and 250k+.

Started in August 2005 w/ 188 smithing. EVB to 222, SS armor to 250s, MCS to 300.

Proud to say I hit 300 last month and didn't do a single, solitary sickle combine during the entire process.

Now I just need those last eight Fletching points and I am finished!!!
