From 280 to 295 I averaged 4 skill gains per 100 mistletoe cutting sickles. It took me 397 sickles to get the last four points.

Sickles all the way from 230's. I lost count, though I do remember it took less than 50 to get 299 and 300. It took 600 to get from 289 to 298 - and I thought I was done on that last major push, but NOOO, RNG tells you, "/veto".

I did wood elf cutlural all the way from 222 to 290, then sickles for the last 10, had good luck (<20 combines per skill up on sickes) except for 297->298 which took 80ish

I dinged 300 about an hour ago. In the last week or so I made sickles from 263. I don't know how many combines I did due to salvage, from 290 to 300 I prepped 620 combines worth of stuff and dinged 300 on the very last combine.

Finally hit 300 tonight doing sickles. I was at 296 and did combine of 20 sickles and got to 299. Another stack of combine and still no skill up. Then on the third stack, got it on the 7th combine. RNG has been kind to me tonight. No more sickles ever, now on to tailoring.
