Insted of making a new thread i will post here.Would anyone enlighten me on a effiecent way to go about doing these?I am used to working in batches of 200-400 that wont work here.Is the norm like 10 at a time?Do most just make a large amount of each peice and bank them then do alot of combines all at once?I am a pretty messy dude so anyway i can keep this semi neat would hbe great. If i wasnt clear ia m asking hopw many componets do you guy's buy at once just a run down of what you do.

my method
My method is to make enough subcomponents for 100 total sickle combine attempts. I made a special character just for purposes of holding all the stuff, and incidentally to hold the resulting sickles themselves. Here's my shopping list for stuff:
Stacks: Item:
5 emeralds
45 celestial essences (oww my wrist)
15 jars of acid
15 imbued emeralds (oww my mana)
15 sheet metals
15 mistletoe
15 elven wine
5 rubies
5 sapphires
pommel molds, hilt molds, and curved blade molds as I need em.
If you make the major subingredients as you go, you need less total free space. For example, 15 stacks of celestial essence + 15 stacks of mistletoe + 15 stacks of elven wine, all boil down to just the 15 stacks of mistletoe temper.
The random number generator is indeed a cruel mistress; on my last run, I got a total of 2 skillups out of those 100 combines, which put me at 293 skill.

p.s. - Incidentally, a huge timesaver when imbuing emeralds is to use a manastone; not many have them, I know, and I could have sworn it used to not work in PoK, but it does now and clerics can use one to excellent effect in recharging their mana in between imbue-fests. So if you have one, use it while you can!Last edited by Hasufax; 03-25-2005, 08:59 AM.

If you guys have DoN btw... /buyer mode works great for celestial essences below the bazaar price, gives the lfg people something to do to make pp while waiting for groups =) often use it before I go to sleep and wake up the next morning with my bags full of mLast edited by Dutchy; 03-25-2005, 11:21 AM.Dutchy Blackrose < Midnite Council of the Black Rose >

Just get a BL to cast Paragon/Perfection of Spirit on you in the guild hall. 80-110 mana/tic as long as you don't leave the zone. It even sticks around if you camp to an alt to transfer supplies through the shared bank. Bard song regen also works the same way.
I haven't tested yet if recourse effect timers count down, but enchanters should be able to get an extra 50/tic from scryer's tresspass if they bind right outside the guild hall.

I have been doing Sickles from 226...I am now 253....I lost count of my combine attempts a long time ago, lol. With Mastery 2, Salvage 3 and 15% mod I averaged 17/20 success. And for those of you who haven't tried tributing them in a while...try again. They are now 1312 a pop. To offset the cost I have been offing the sickles to my guildies for near cost. 16-19x1312 for 5kpp turned a lot of heads. I did 160 combines today for a guildie...45kpp for 188606 trib. My loss for that 160 was about 5kppForest Scion Anahka Slivermane

Where do you get bricks of yttrium numbering 50 in 2hrs?
Im lucky to get 5 bricks an hour in the deep...
The exp isnt dramatic there either.... and have little time for farming because of lots of guild activity.
Sickles will go to 252 extremely likely in next few patches btw....Vidyne

done a few sickle runs so far, averaging 5 skillups a run. Heres how i do it:
get 8 empty 10 slot bags (100% wt reduction i use 5 summoned 3 perm)
make 920 or 940 celestial essence (to allow for the inevitable pre combine fails)
make 300 mistletoe temper
make 300 blessed dust (i buy imbued emeralds as cant imbue myself)
buy 3 stacks each rubys, emeralds and saphires and carry enough plat for 2 more stacks of each plus enough for 100 of each mold and 300 sheets of metal.
go to abysmal sea, theres a mold seller who sells all 3 molds, metal seller and forge all within a few steps of each other.
Buy a stack of metal and fill up on equal numbers of molds and combine up, rinse and repeat. Buy more gems from a short run still in abysmal sea when run out.
Usually end up with 6 or 7 bags of sickles at the end of the run to go tribute, sell or give away
I can do 100 sickle attempts in 3 hours from start to finish with this method

Well, after succefully making 81 sickles and only getting one point of skill this weekend I called off making sickles to get skill. Do not know how many I failed, I have 415 wis, mastery 3 and salvage 3.
I will wait for the patch and see what happens. If they don't nerf shadowcreem I may go back to it. That is how I got 250.
