Yes, I'm very glad that I didn't dump my 50+ Sickles into Tribute last night. Least this way I can some what make back the plat I've already spent. Whew!

I'm one of those who rushed to do zillions of sickles before this patch. Argh. Banks and mules all full with 628 sickles.

I've always hated sickles, since the first week they were introduced. I was already 250 skill before they came along, and it was such a hassle to run around to different zones doing all sorts of precombines.

They're much easier to make now in PoK, but after the last two weeks I hate them all over again.

I still prefer Shadowhaven for making sickles. Nice and quiet there.

But yes, I hate sickles. Mostly I hate celestial essense though. Whoever thought we should need 9 CE's per sickle needs to be kicked, hard.

I hate Sickles. Maybe we can start a club, like in Little Rascals. But I'm starting to hate the Hollowshade war - and I used to love it.

Sickles in shadowhaven? (bonks self) Do they sell wine and mistletoe? Hang on, surely they dont have both parts of CE? I'm thinking Abysmal Sea for more peace and quiet.

(ps I hated robes too. A secret part of me is happy they didn't fix the trivial)

SH only has 1 part of the CE (the solvent), so I usually go grab the other stuff first then head to SH.

They do have the wine and mistletoe, and everything else. Although Sapphires are waaayy up at a vendor upstairs/caster guilds.

Well, at least you're okay with the mistletoe part.

So I guess we should feel fortunate that the sickles aren't made from components found in the planes?

251-262 off shadowscream, 263-271 off sickles so far.

As much as I hate sickle subcombines (when you only have 3 open bag slots to do them in), trying to hold out for those last 5 points on shadowscream since max was 267 would have been much much worse.
                          - 3 swirling shadows per combine x 20 combines per skillup x 5 skillups = 300 swirling shadows needed / 20 shadows per hour collected on average = 15 hours of AoE'ing Twilight Sea. NO THANKS.

(All figures were my own personal counts since I also had done shadowscream from 221-250.)

I just thank God that I can go farm yttrium for 2-3 hours, get 50 or so bricks and skill up to 290 using Master sleeves. Heart goes out to the classes that are totally screwed over by rare Master level components.

Hit 300 a couple days ago, mostly doing sickles from 250, I had some yttrium for gnome cultural (that dont tribute..grrr) , and one skillup on leftover/purchased shadowscream, I have 3 mules (was almost 4 before I tributed) almost full of sickles now though, some of which I "rescued" from vendors after a friend whos too rich n lazy sold them there, and my two "main" characters have near 200k tribute.

My hate towards the sickles were lowered somewhat by buying all the celestial essence, mistletoe tempers and over half of the blessed dust of tunare in baz. (I had a /buyer set up for the weeks I did smithing)..money well spent to avoid smashing the keyboard, ok so its probably 100k more expensive this way, but no big deal.

Now if I could only SELL a few of them
