Just finished making Banded trivial was wondering where to go now...not rich(

I highly recommend doing a search for "economical smith" - there is a PDF that somebody is hosting with some great recommendations

If you have the money to invest to start with, the sellback price on the items up to 188 is not terrible considering the price of the components. Just stick close to trivial so that you succeed often
