Not to mention the piles of plat invested in those supplies!

Congrats on having the patience to organize all of that!

Do you have a figure of how much pp you threw down to prepare for all those combines?

I wouldn't do 1200 to start. you will waste the last 400 or so. do 800 to start and see where that gets you and then just do 100 at a time until you hit 300. its your nickel...

I can only handle doing small amounts at a time. Therefore, I do enough pre-combines to make 20 final attempts. 180 combines for CE's, 60 imbued emeralds, 60 combines for temper, another 60 combines for dust, another 60 combines for parts, in order to do roughly 20 final combines.

The good news is I have 1-2 skill ups, usually, per 20 attempts. Hopefully that trend will contine. But it will take me a long time at 1-2 skill ups per day, and I only do it 1-2 times a week.

I like to make 1200 just because I prefer to have overkill whenever possible. I hate always doing a run only to be short a few skill points. Currently I'm sitting at 269 skill (415str). I started them at 255 (did 115 or so Yttrium cultural combines), and after 200 or so combines, I've gained 14 skill points. If I have leftover I'll probably just give em to a friend or use my leftovers for Tailoring solstice robes.

As for costs, the gems run 5k a stack, so 5k+250pp for other various stuff is running me about 5250pp per stack. IF I had to use all 1200, it'd run about 315k, but I'm gonna guess I'll be finished around 800, so that'll only be about 210k. Not too bad really.

Just got to 300. /streches and glares at the 3 mules full of sickles. Good thing I have friends that need tribute.

                It takes 9 CE's to make a sickle. /shudder

I managed to not break my fingers by /auc WTB CE's 100pp per stack. (that's 5pp each for those of you who don't want to do the math)
With the help of my imbuing cleric hubby and my little army of CE makers I would make up 3 10-slot bags of each: mistletoe tempers, blessed dust of tunare, Celestial Essence. Then buy some stacks of gems and do the precombines in batches of 10...then combine 10 sickles.
Have Shaman friends with Wunshi and happy str buffs to help you out.

I think I went through about 250k or so... it's hard to tell. The 300k forcast is pretty accurate for the 50 skillups.

                Happy Twinks: Research(219), Alchemy(300), Poisoncraft(291) and Tinkering(274).
                I like to be well-rounded.
