i have been making the symbols and i noticed that they are used in tradeskills i have tried most eveything i can to upgrade the expert chest symbol of the skeptic but have found no luck does anyone one else have and ideas?

My guess is it is a bug/misprint, but I really don't know. Perhaps in early beta the symbol was actually combined with the armor instead of being used as an auggie. I really don't know =)

The symbols are used in trade skills is correct , You equip it to your armor through the use of the augment bath , Then done. There is no way to upgrade this type of Aug, only need to do the Grandmasters stuff to get a better augment.

But that would make every augment used in tradeskills, and as far as I know, dropped LDoN augs, finished (inlayed) OoW augs, and most other augs are /not/ labelled with the tradeskills tag.

Check out the Magnetized stuff, once its totally been made into something the tag *This Item Can is used in Tradeskills* remains.
Got me swinging , just how SoE wants it suppose.

Which magnetic are you refering to? The regular magnetic armor is in deed usable in a tradeskill combine so should be flagged as tradeskill. It can be combined with lightning cores to make it charged magnetic armor. Charged magnetic armor shouldn't be flagged as tradeskill and isn't off the top of my head.

Magnetized armor can be used in two combines: break down for bricks, and being made into magnetic armor
Magnetic armor can be used in two combines: break down for bricks, and being charged with lightning cores
I don't know about the Charged Magnetic armor, but I would assume it too could be broken down for bricks (would follow the pattern) which would be a reason to flag it for tradeskills.

Charged Magnetic armor is NOT flagged for tradeskills , I just made a couple to check
