300 on Povar

Got 300 and title of Master Smith about 2 hours ago on Povar. Will post exact skillups and attempts later.

Congrats!! That's huge! I haven't started working on smithing yet, been focusing on the other tradeskills first.. but would be curious what stuff you combined to get there.

Okay to answer some questions.

1. Took around 1400+ attempts to get to 300 from 250. I used mistletoe sickle cutters. Yes its expensive and unless you have a pre-arranged selling market for your sickles don't go this route as you won't recoup most of your plat back.

I spent 420,000pp and got back from sale of my 700 sickles 280,000pp so lost about 140,000 in expenses along the way. The only suggestion I can give that is really important is don't get discouraged. Get your materials ahead of time save them on 4-6 characters you create and then go for it and don't stop.

Was at 415 str most of time.

Okay this is as exact as I can get it listed below. It was around 1400+ total attempts to get to 300 from 250.

Hope this helps, the second number is attempts to get to that skillup from the last skillup.

As was posted 400pp each..found a more public and private market. Sickles tribute at 1312 each..so sold a bunch to public for 400pp each would be like 3.3 to 1 ratio for tribute so not so bad.

None were sold in bazaar..Sold in /ooc in PoK and by word of mouth.

A lot of people only have enough plat to buy small tribute items with small amounts of tribute like the sickles so its an open market.

I really, really, hated sickles back when I went to 250. Just looking at that makes me cringe. Of course, that was before the new UI, so it's probably not so bad now days.

Lessee the expansion came out 2/15, you posted 2/19, that means you sold 700 sickles in four days??

Thats a much huger achievement than skilling up 50 points, lol. I have my bazaar mule on about 10 hours a day and I dont think I ve sold 700 items in a year!!

I know gig fairly well, and yes, if you work to sell these items for tribute instead of bazaaring them you will more likely sell them. Im working on 300 at a little slower rate. and have made 180 sickles and sold 100 first day by word of mouth. Just havent had time to sell the other 80 sickles. And yes, amazing as it is he has a few other tradeskills maxed also. Im amazed. i cant get enough time to get them done
