new wood elf cultural smithing(and .. where did that cultural forge go?)

Looking to find out if any wood elf anywhere has gotten even as far as making the ore, reportedly via combining pouch of mistletoe powder, fier' dal smithing hammer, and small brick of mithril. I have been unable to make this combine work in any kelethin forge, and any shadowhaven forge, and any felwithe forge. I found it odd that one of the kelethin forges told me "your race is unable ot do tradeskills in this container" .. clearly we wood elves are planning for out of towners to drop by.

So anyway, if anyone has gotten *any* wood elven combine to work, even not smithing, I would very much like to hear about, it, in detail.

Presumably that one is for half-elves, some of whom call Kelethin their home.

Was the forge that you got that message from the one between the Newbie and PoD lifts? That is the new forge, and I suspect that it is the half elf cultural forge.

Under the assumption that the wood elf cultural forge did not move, the forge you seek as your cultural forge is the one on the second platform up from the newbie lift. The first platform up form the newbie lift has the regular forge, and in a hut has the vendor selling the mithril and clay. So go up one platform from that forge to find the wood elf cultural forge. (BTW - as a half elf, the forge that i'm talking about, second platform up from the newbie lift, I got that "your race is unable ..." message, and I'm a half elf)

Thank you for the comments on the forge, this is what I suspected as well. However, the main point in my post is the one I am really seeking an answer to. Has any wood elf anywhere managed to make anything with the new cultural tradeskills (aside from the highly optimistic backpack full of molds or patterns) If so, I would really like to know what your recipe was, and where you did it.

similar problems

The books with all the recipies are available from Kaleras Darkanvil (at N440 P556) in PoK, only cost 1cp each and give you all the info you need to do any of the races recipies.

However I had similar problems trying the DE cultural armour, did exactly what the book told me to do and got a "these items will not combine in this container" message when I tried it in the Teir`Dal forge.
