New dark elf armor quest broken?

I've done all the quest for the books for the new dark elf armor, I'm trying to do the grandmaster one now where you have to kill 120 lavaspiners and loot 80 eyes np killing spiders, you can even kill the ones in lavastorm if you can't make it to lavaspiner layer. Problem I'm haveing is I've killed 50 lavaspiners in lavaspin layer light blue to green to a lvl 70 and not a single eye drop blood, gems, silk, and a few no drop items is all thay seem to have on there loot table. Is any other dark elf haveing the same problem? I've even killed a few in lava storm just to see if thay would drop anything 25 lavaspiners later nothing but legs and thoraxes.

You need to have a level 70 get a mssion to lavaspinners and you must be the one to loot the items.

I'm not even sure where to hunt the lavaspinners to get the eyes to drop. I fought in deep to the Spider Broodmother and none of the spiders on the way or near there dropped eyes. Since those mobs were all green / lt. blue to me-- I'm guess you have to kill more powerful spiders to get the eyes, but I don't know where those spiders are.

Have seen the same problem mentioned in other threads - will edit in a link in a moment. The clusters (for the Expert level book) will only drop in the instanced missions, not from the regular zone mobs

I found them in the instanced missions out of the two I did we got 7 on the first one and 10 on the second one. also I did a mission tonight that wasn't a lava spinner one got 20 eyes but none of them counted twords the quest just a little fyi.

in the quest for the mold pattern book is the Raw Hide Belt referring to the Deathfist belts?

no just a raw hide belt. I wasn't able to find one off of any mob in the zones he told me about so I just went up to pok and bought one off a merchant that happend to have one.

You can also camp Orc Highway in Oasis.. Plenty of Raw Hide drops there.
