New Trol Cultural

I began the quests for the new troll cultural armor last night. I didn't write down the name of the quest initiator but he is located in Neriak Foreign Quarters in the guild hall right behind the Shaman guild master. He first asks you to go to West Karana and get a Lions tail, Fire beetle carapace, a patch of zombie skin, and a golden bandit tooth. This quest appears to be the same for all races adn the reward a pattern book that is used to create tailoring patterns and smithing molds. He also offers Tasks. The first task he gives is in 2 parts. He first wants you to go to Highpass Hold and kill 20 gnolls and collect 4 rain waters. Kill the 20 gnolls and then return to Neriak and hand him the 4 rain waters (unstacked as allways) and he will then ask you to return to Highpass Hold to kill 10 smugglers and collect one hooman blood. When you have done that return to Neriak and hand him the human blood at which point he will give you a Journeymans pattern book that tells you how to make the journeymans level symbols for your new armor.

You CAN at the same time ask him for the tasks for both the Expert and Master level pattern books and he will give you those tasks. I will edit this to add those steps once I have completed them.

Unfortunately I have been unable to find a vendor in Neriak that sell the items needed to craft any of the journeymans armor. I will have to keep searching for him.

The one tailoring supplies vendor in neriak commons will have some of the items for which you search.

edit: sorry thought I saw iron, can't find it.

The Troll Cultural Forge in Neriak on Lanys appears to have reverted to a normal forge. Also haven't found vendor for iron or troll smithy hammer. Will continue searching after the afternoon patch of the patch.

I've found all the supplies to make the patters in Neriak Commons. But I have searched EVER vendor in Neriak (all 3 zones) for the Iron and troll hammer. I have not found it. I'm tempted to search in PoK but I seriously doubt thats going to yeild any results. Could it be that SoE forgot to put our vendor in there?

Ok so youve searched every vendor in every zone.

my next question is did you check the whole zones? Mabey they put a vendor .....oh say in the secret passage behind the waterfall. or up on the wall in the forgine quarter or mabey they even added it to a mob who was formerly a non vendor and looks like a guard. After my expierences in oggok i got to tell you that the programers are sneeky sneeky sneeky.

But in the past all of our cultural smithing (the weapons) were done using a normal Smithy hammer. Could it not be that that remained the same? As for the grobb forge i have no idea where it vanished to unfortunately. Someone said they messed up at least two cultural containers maybe this was one of them. Only time will tell.

Other races find there cultural smithing stuff by using FIND 'smithing supplies'.
That doesn't work for Trolls.

I have used the FIND option and checked EVERY vendor in all three Neriak zones. There is no iron or troll smithy hammer to be found anywhere in Neriak.

Ok the Grobb Forge is in Neriak. I found it by making a darkelf and going to every forge looking for "Your race cannot use this container" message. Found it in Neriak Foriegn Quarter. It's the Forge Closest to Putad. It still says Forge but it is the Grobb one. Don't know if cultural combines work though but dark elves cannot use it.

Still not done fourth quest yet or skilled up enough to try the high level combines so being late isnt that much of a problem for me.

If I read that post correctly Absor has confirmed that he "forgot" to put vendors in Neriak that seel the troll hammer and iron. It appears he has added the vendors onto the Test Server and that they will be moving to the live servers with the next regular patch. Whenever that may be.

As far as I'm concerned since this was a SOE screwup we should be able to petition and have a GM summon iron and a troll hammer for us.
