OOW supplies of "sheet metals"

I've been trying to work out the last of the OOW Tinkering recipes (if you are interested in seeing all my 700+ failed attempts check out this thread ).

This work is based on a book called "Hizniltot's Scratch Pad" - which lays out the tinkering recipes.

The recipe I am trying to work out (the first in the book) says in part "Several sheets of high quality sheet metal to build casing" - which seems pretty clear!!!

But later in the book it says "Find a supply of sheet metal and give to Ginth" (Ginth is the gnome "needing" the device).

My question to all you smiths is: are there any new sheet metals in the game since oow!? Or ores that could make sheets.

One I can think of is the Copper Sheets (sold by the tinkering merchants).

I have attempted the recipe with:
* high quality sheet metal
* high quality folded sheet metal
* enchanted folded sheet metal
* enchanted sheet metal

all with no success!

What am I missing!!!??

Where is Ginth located? Is he in game?

Could be a hand-in like the Abysmal sea turnin raw material for 2 finished product thing.

That is certainly possible.

I did a search on Allakhazam for Ginth (and Hizniltot) with no matches, but i am not sure how up-to-date the Bestiary is...

If anyone spots Ginth, please snack him and tell him to contact the nearest Tinkerer ASAP.


I am still hopeful that there will be an ore or metal dropping somewhere in OOW that will make a sheet...

It's a long shot but the durable knife is made using an OOW weapon, perhaps there's a way to break some of these down? I know some people have tried the damaged weapon with water but perhaps there's another way to do it.

It's also entirely possible it's just simply "sheet metal", like the kind you use for banded.

If it's asking for HQ, I'd think either HQ sheet or HQ folded sheet, but I dunno.

If you've got the plat to burn, might try MQ sheets/folded sheets as well.

Thanks, all. This was resolved (see tinkering forum under "Next Recipe")... it consumes one sheet metal per cast.
