Getting Smithing to 100 fast

I am wondering if there is a quick method of getting smithing to 100. Money is not a factor here

Smithing to 100 is both quick and cheap Go to the homepage of this site, click on 'learn a skill' in the side column and chose smithing. You'll see several good guides.

here is a simple quest that will work your smithing up to 54 for FREE. the quest npc gives ya all the stuff ya need

some of those guides are out dated, there have been several exspansions since they were written. This quest requires you have GoD exspansion.

I have found that when money is not a major concern, the GoD quests seem to be a waste of time. As I understand it, you have to do a set number of combines, even if they are trivial, to move to the next step instead of just moving on when an item is trivial.

For instance, I did about 1/4 of the number of combines required by the GoD quest to get to 54 in fletching. It cost me 5 pp. Given that my time is much more valuable than my plat, I'm happy with this choice With the wording of the original question, it seems to me like he'd be happier with that choice as well.

Oh and there is an awsome forum here - something about Tradeskill Guides, thats the place to find the most current info. I've been skilling up fletching, JC, brewing and smithing lately. I've found those guides to be invaluable
