I am now the proud owner of a GrandMaster Smith's Hammer. My first try was at 200ish, and I failed. Figured I'd wait a while before trying again. Today, I was feeling a bit randy, so I decided to go for it (at 220 skill) and succeeded. I even forgot to equip my geerlok before the attempt. LOL.

This may be a silly question, but as my Massive Girdle of the Forge has +10% smithing, is there any point to me trying to make a GrandMaster Smith's Hammer? From the EQ Trader FAQs, I understand that the effects of modifying items do not stack.Comment

1 - you need the cha and other stats.
2 - if you want the brag factor of having it done.
