What level do you need to be for the aid Grimel quest?

Hi

I hit 222 smithing with my cleric and decided to run up to PoK and get the breast plate from Grimel. When i got there he said I had a too limited knowledge of the planes. Since the are now allowing you to enter the planes based on level and not flags I am guessing there is some sort of level requirement. Does anyone know what it is?

I was 51 when i asked for the quest from Grimel. I would have been 52 but i looked up while riding the elevator and plummeted to my death. Good job EQ quality assurance

It is flags that are required for Aid Grimel, not levels. Levels will allow you into some zones for XP, but you do not get credit for planar progression by having entered those zones based on level alone.

For smithing you need ....

Part 1: Smithing.
Skill Requirement: 220 Smithing.

Flag Requirement: Bertoxxulous AND rescuing Mylik and Adier
Your Flag MUST say - Saved from certain doom, Milyk and Adler are forever in your debt.

In PoK, in the "neutral" section (ie, stones to Freeport, Nexus, PoTranq, etc) there is a building near the middle with 3 merchants and 2 subrooms. In one of those subrooms is a lady - if you hail her she'll ask you to sit down. Once seated, you can hail her and she'll say she can help with [guided meditation] or [unlock] [memories]. Do "guided meditation" to see what flags you have. (the other one, "Unlock my memories" (may be needed multiple times) will help straighten out flags you've gotten out-of-order that aren't functioning right.)
