  • 188-212 LDON Plate

188 is easily reached. Farm Greyhoppers for LQ hides and silkworms outside Shar Vahl for the silk. Spend half a day and you can fill 2 backpacks with padding.

Anyway, for a lot of people the hurtle has been breaking 188 easily. Lots of suggestions have been made, LDON armor being one of them... but LDON armor has always been kinda sub par. It's semi-expensive to make and doesnt sell well to merchants or players. Until now

    WTS 12k Tribute... 3k pp.

See, LDON plate armors have several combines worth a large amount of Tribute. Forget selling the linked armors, they're junk. But there are always people looking for decent tribute returns on items they can buy. 4 trib to 1pp is a great ratio, and you actually turn a decent profit doing it.

Plate Vambraces Tribute - Sandblasted 618, Gothic 547, Calcified 436, Deep Cavern 434.... DONT waste Ice Lichen Tempers on sleeves, the tribute is under 250 and you're better off saving them for Greaves.

Plate Greaves Tribute - Sandblasted 898, Gothic 800, Frosted 660.

Vambraces cost about 60pp + Temper to make. Leggings about 80 + Temper. I would purchase any LDON tempers or ingredients under 60pp... so sleeves were running me 120p or so, leggings 140p if I didnt farm my own components.

I would hop to PoK make 3-4 backpacks of sleeves or legs then calculate the total Tribute it was all worth. Divide by 4 and sell for that much pp. I've sold batchs of 80k tribute for 20k plat a couple of times. The items dont stack, so your buyer needs lots of bag room, but I had people simply make mules to hold everything they needed.

All told, I actually made about 50k profit skilling up from 188-212... and max'd out my own tribute hehe. This was also pretty fast time wise. I horded LDON ingredient drops before reaching 188, but honestly I bought a ton from bazaar (be sure you search for tempers too) and merchant farming the camps. I would adventure and stock up on tempers all week, then on Sunday make skill up combines. Took ~2 weeks.

That is incredibly intuitive of you. Congratulations!

I'm going to try that instead of sitting around waiting to sell of my LDON WAres one by one *eerk*

they nerfed the tribute values on the LDoN armors... i'm not logged in game but remeber no single LDoN smithed item gave more than 500 tribute... highest I got was like 498 for sandblasted cloaks

Sorry Buttonz but yer data is incorrect.

I continue even now to offer these deals once a week or so. I'm well past the point where they offer me a chance to skill up but the profit margin is still reasonable and they sell well on my server. I sell mostly to guildies but if a batch doesnt sell in guildchat within say 2-3 attempts it goes to auction channel. I get a ton of tells asking what tribute item I am selling and usually one of those jumps at tribute on a 4 to 1 ratio.

I have taken to only bothering to purchase components for Sandblasted (Sand Verbena) and Gothic (Gargoyle Granite) LDON plate. These guarantee the highest tribute return for the money I invest in manufacture. I still refuse to buy either in bazaar if priced over 50pp and that's working out well for me. Lots of traders try to push that price up but I send them a polite tell and about half of them lower prices. I have found one trader on my server who sells completed tempers in bulk. He usually lists them around 75-100pp but I worked out a deal and now buy stacks of my two types at 65pp each. He still makes a nice profit and it doesnt cut my margin hugely.

Sandblasted Legs 898 Tribute, Sandblasted Sleeves 618 Tribute.

Gothic Legs 800 Tribute, Gothic Sleeves 547

I'll sell in batches of 10 or 20 pieces. So WTS 18k tribute ... 4500 pp (Sandy Legs). Lots of people spend time each day shopping for decent tribute return items in the bazaar, and occasionally my trader mule will move a backpack worth of LDON plate. However, I can use auction and auction channel and move 8-10 backpacks in an hour. Just premake a couple of packs of sheets and mass out the armor in PoK. On a batch of 20 I make about 2k profit, it's not huge but it it's 2k worth of EVB skill up attempts since I dont have time or energy to farm velium. And it's easy, Temper components are only part semi-tough to find and can usually get an easy stack just checking vendors at each camp.
