I see some weapons that are cultural but no armor?? It seems odd that the darkscale stuff is Ogre only and yet we can wear it... Feeling left out as a Trollie smith..

In that same light, so can Half Elves, and Trolls can use Ogre crafted items. In fact, Ogres can craft a line of armors that is exclusive for use by Trolls as there is no Ogre class / deity who could wear it.

Note I'm am referring to who can MAKE armor, not who can WEAR:
Trolls, vah shir, frogloks, and half elves have no cultural armor, period. Trolls have cultural smithing but it only extends to modifying weapons.
Gnomes, halflings, wood elves, and erudites, have cutural armor, but it isn't smithed (it's tailored, excpet in case of gnomes, where it's tinkered). Technically these races have cultural smithing, but only to make items to support other skills.
As for me, lol... iksar cultural is hard to sell, because only iksar can wear it, period. And only shamans would want to... with the cost I'd have to charge to make a reasonable profit, warriors and SKs can easily do better for stats. Works other way around, too... iksars can't wear anybody's cultural but their own. The only reason I bother to make any is to twink out my shaman and for novelty value, hehe. Iksars kind of get cultural tailoring, in the sense that there's a line of int-caster robes only iksar can make, since the pattern is no-drop and only available to iksars (the NPC who gives them refuses to give to non-iksar, and of course can't be fooled by illusions). Robes of Misery are pretty much the only cultural product I can sell for a decent profit.
Vah shir is the only race that's doubly screwed over for cultural... not only can they not make any, but they can't wear anybody else's either.Last edited by Troodon; 08-11-2004, 10:54 AM.Zararazu Twoflower, 66 iksar monk, Solusek Ro

Vah Shir cannot wear Imbued stuff, but they can wear Cultural armors. They can wear Vale Studded and Vale Reinforced leathers, Ogre Splintmail, Seafarer's chainmail and Northman Ringmail.
