Just double checking, you're using the correct long blade mold?

are there more than one labeled "long blade mold"?
that is most likely the root of the issue if so!

yes, I haven't personally verified in game but I think you need the one that's sold in abysmal, and not the other one. If you could verify that there's only 1 long blade mold sold in abysmal when you go to buy it that would let me get a sources issue with the other one (one that doesn't work for god combines) fixed. If you go to the recipe in the database and sources for the long blade mold in that recipe it has the vendor that you need listed.

That's my bad. I didn't know that those other molds existed until it was too late and I was too lazy to make new ones.
