    So...

Is 9 for 35 an accepted rate of return? Almost exactly 25% success rate???

I had 60 sheets of infused Brellium... I figured the 11 pieces of armor I needed for my warrior would be fine out of those...

Instead, I made only 9 of the 11 pieces I needed, and am now 1 for 12 on bracers alone!!! Not to mention 0/7 on Greaves!

(still missing 1 bracer and 1 greaves of what I had intended to make)

    <----- Not a happy Blacksmith.

My skill started at 240 + Geerlok, and is now 242 + Geerlok. (At least I got 2 skill ups out of that disaster) Both of which gave me the max effective of 252 at the time.

How's everyone elses rate of return on BD armor lately? I don't intend to make this stuff for profit, it's just to outfit my warrior, my cleric, and a few friends who will provide me with the components to do it. I guess I need to warn them to bring me at least 4x the amount of stuff they actually need...

    *sigh*

With over 300 combines of high elf plate, I was between 45-50% at all times. I'd have runs of 6 fails on a piece, then get my next 4 without a loss.

9 of 35 is well within experimental tolerance.

And any number between 0 and 35 is acceptable for the EQ RNG. =)

Try doing Riverdance with a plate of bologna on your head next time you do combines.

          BD risk

Yup 45-50% average is bang on in my experience. I have had 1/7 not infrequently followed by 5/7 so the RNG is its usual self

Try failing three out of three Livestone combines... when you have to buy the supplies!

I made some High Elf BD armor last week. Had no problems. In fact I think it was a bit better than normal (just over 50% success). But I've had plenty of runs where to goes the other way. Like 1/4 legs, 1/6 bracers, 1/3 arms, type days. . .

I'm at exactly 50% success rate after making 11 pieces of human cultural.
