I have an Ogre that I am trying to get to 250 smithing. He is a rallos Zek follower which has some pretty good cultural items to make. I have maxed out the plate, almost, and I am just wondering what some other ogre GM smiths would recomened to get to 250. It would be nice to be able to make some kind of profit or break even. I am not wealthy nor wise, Ogre ya know, so any direction I can get would be great. I am a lvl 28 shamen thanks for any input.

When you say "maxed out on the plate", do you mean Fine Plate?
From there, most people move on to LDoN smithing. It helps alot if you can forage or have friends/guildmates who will forage for you during LDoN missions.
After that, most people move to Enchanted Velium Bits.
As an Ogre (especially as a Shaman... get to 29, quick! So you can Imbue your own Jade.), you can also make Imbued Ogre War Plate, probably right up to skill 242.
Your best investments will be in +Wis gear though... Emerald Dragonscale Tunic, Bracelet of Sense, Dragonhorn Bracers, Ivandyr's Hoop, Earring of the Solstice, Velium-Jasper Rings, Othmir Fur Cap, etc.
Often you can do a search for (item slot, Wisdom, Ogre, Shaman) and put 500p as the maximum price. Then go through and look for the best Wis per plat buys.

Actually, for an ogre shaman, itd be far easier to max out STR then WIS, which is just fine for smithing.
You dont find non-uber shaman with very high WIS, because with cannibalization, HP and regeneration is more important then WIS.Comment

Max your strength. That is much easier than wis. I didn't break 200 wis until I got Velious quest armor at level 60+.
I did a combination of shadowscream, and mistletoe cutting sickles to max smithing. At your level, farming for shadowscream won't be very effective. The sickle market is very poor on my server as several people have recently skilled up on them, and dumped them for cost (~900pp each). You won't recover your costs at that price due to high failure rates. Even at 250, they fail 50% of the time.
I think you'll find there is a very small market for ogre cultural armor. There aren't that many to start with. For blue diamond cultural armor, you're only customers are ogres and trolls, while ogres usually buy the human made Rallos Zek armor.
