You do the 6, 2-6 hour each, pre-trials in Bandiru with a perfectly balanced, high powered, time equipped group, then hunt in Kod'taz and higher for Shimmering Nihilite that makes sub par weapons for hte Risk vs reward involved.

Or do like te rest of us and just give up on GOD tradeskilling completely due to the serious lack of availability of components for anyone that has not killed Quarm or raids 50+ hours a week. Or simply pay the 5000pp a bar price in bazaar.

Had I known this information before SOE duped me into thinking Gates of Discord would actually have something a non-raider can do, I would never have spent $120 to upgrade my 4 accounts. I feel so ripped off right now.

That's a load of crap, Time geared my butt. I've completed or come close to completing all 6 Barindu trials with groups of LDoN/ornate level geared players. Sure it's harder, sure you cant waltz in with Banded and expect to win, but if you're fairly well geared with important AAs and you know how to play you can win.

How about actually stepping into the zones and trying instead of spouting conjecture based on the ramblings of "omg every mob in gates hits for 2800 quad!" PoK ooc morons?

But yeah, Raw Shimmering Nihilite along with Shimmering Aligned Ore both drop in Kod`Taz or higher, which you gain access to by completing the six instanced trials in Barindu.

As long as your tank is a warrior, and you have at least 2 good healers (i.e. clerics).
Itzena Alhazared, Revenant of {Planeteers}, Vallon Zek. And also a seamstress.
Gelcea Macha, Wandering Animist of Tarew Marr. Will be a smith, one day.

Nah. Might need a Warrior for Tipt if you're pre-Time geared, but I've done Vxed and 3 sewers with a Shadow Knight or Paladin in ornate/LDoN gear (about 8k buffed HPs and 15-1600 AC, or less) and a Cleric healing with Druid on spots.

Sewers are pretty easy, most of them dont even get the 10-1100 hitters until deeper in. Plus the mobs have relatively low atk and only hit double outside of perhaps named. Vxed is a bit harder, I've found mobs have higher atk and they hit for 1100-1300 right off. Plus there are nastier mob types you won't find in sewers such as the kyv (run like bards on crack and hit hard) ikaav (they're always casters, usually enchanters, so they haste themselves and the mobs around them, plus they spawn a short duration swarm pet that hits for about 500-600 max) aneuk (again, casters, usually wizards in my experience, and they have high MR) and cragbeasts. (not sure what it is about them, but they tend to tear up tanks faster than other mobs)

In addition Vxed named are a lot harder than sewers, some of which are impossible to avoid if you get unlucky. Umbiki hits for 1550 quad rampage, and Chavoor the Trickster hits for 1800ish, and I believe he enrages. With a little ingenuity and plenty of spots, our good Paladin was able to tank both, albeit with a few wipes. The trick to Vxed is to pull to the zone for about 80-90 mobs, then move up to the northeast corner. I'm not sure exactly when the NPC spawns there, but she should shorty after you start moving up. Also, despite Vxed mobs being tougher than sewers, you can get decent charmable pets in the mountains, which parse at about 700-800 dps unhasted without weapons. A capable Enchanter makes mountain trials MUCH easier.

Tipt on the other hand... the final named is rough, yes. But the trial is very doable with two Enchanters charming and hasting with a Ranger Weaponshield tanking the boss. Or you could get a Warrior to Furious/Defensive and skip that, but it's definitely doable with a knight tank...

For reference, my prefered Vxed group is Enchanter Druid Beastlord Paladin Cleric Ranger, but you could easily mix that up as long as you have a Cleric/spotter and a decent tank.

Me too, had I known that I couldn't even find a freaking group in G.O.D. since pallys are worthless there.

I gave plenty of thought to what I posted before I posted it. You sir did not.

Did you even look at my magelo? I am time flagged and have Time/Elemental gear. When I posted this I was already Kod'Taz flagged and working futher into GOD. Recently I have spent the last 7 weeks in Uqua fighting in the first 27 feet of the zone. Guess what? GOD is still a pile of you know what.

I stand by what I posted before, with first hand knowledge of the expansion, and I still feel I have been duped for $120.

                Skeetus,

I would suggest that you learn what of you speak before you tell time geared, kt/ikky flaggingpeople what GoD does offer.
