Returning smith with questions

Greets all,

Having been away for almost a year Ive come back to EQ and lo and behold all the new stuff! Wow

So with all these new trickets and what not to bang on, im wondering ...?

What post 200 "skill path" is most prefered? ie what do I make to get to 250

Ive got a gealock hammer, from long ago. I read where now "temp" spell will give you max strength, so thats a no brainer.

Ive also read where doing "EVB's?" is a path, but for the life of me I can't figure out what EVB means. Ive not read it anywhere. ;(


Ive got close to 20k plat to spend so far, and im well versed in high elf cultrial, haveing grulled my way into 200 area on that alone.

Any help, advice would be most welcome...

EVB = Short hand for Enchanted Velium Bits. At least 3 threads on that topic.

LDoN plate smithing compbines are good until 212.

I read where now "temp" spell will give you max strength, so thats a no brainer.

Temp does not add to your STR. It ups your HP and AC. Spells like Fo7 and HoS will increase it. There are tons of STR items out there, so it's not terribly difficult to raise up. I have a special set of gear just for smithing, which takes me to 245 with my ranger STR buff.
