    Tae Ew Two Hand Sword
    MAGIC ITEM
    Slot: PRIMARY
Skill: 2H Slash Atk Delay: 35
    DMG: 34
    STR: +6 WIS: +6 INT: +6 HP: +100 MANA: +25
SV DISEASE: +14 SV POISON: +14
    Required level of 51
    WT: 4.0 Size: MEDIUM
Class: WAR PAL RNG SHD BER
    Race: ALL

    Pale Velium Bastard Sword:

    2hs:
    Dmg 24
    Atk Delay 30
Str 12, Wis 12, Int 12, Agi 12, Sv fire cold magic 10
    Wt 6.0
    Class: War Pal Rng Shd
    Race: All
    Slot 1, Type 4
    Slot 2, Type 7

tae ew has 34/35 dmg/delay ratio and half the str.
pale velium has 24/30 dmg/delay lower but bastard swords are lower than 2handed normall and no hp.
They are for the 50+ crowd, so expect the Recommended Level restrictions to start there.
recommended he says. meaning at 40 you can equip it. would prefer the dmg uped to 30 to get a 1 dmg/delay weapon but still not bad. needs sta though if it doesn't give hp. hadn't seen that. might lower price on tae ew blood though.

edit i hadn't seen the loss in hp till it was pointed out. man i am just not a tank class hehe. that is a considerable bit of downgrade. it still looks mostly store bought instead of farmed though. that is something i guess.

You are a wizard according to your sig, I dont know how experienced you are with melee characters, but every single person I know would use the tae ew over the GoD crafted one. The stats are pretty inconsequential compared to the loss of raw hp and dps. You could not sell this sword for what it costs to make it on Drinal. Theres no need for a recommended level on it in the least, its that mediocre. I wonder if the damage was supposed to be 34? Is it even flagged as magic (ie, able to hit will o wisps?)

This item could, of course, be required for a hand in for some quest. The PotC sickle has pretty bad stats for its cost as well. Anyone tried handing in this thing?

a recomend level of 50 would make it 12/30 in the hands of a level 25, not something tobe rah-rahing about, that weapon would be good for a 30-35 ish , maybe up to 46ish, without level blocks.

The "Database Update Submissions" forum fits that description, I think.

I'm glad you posted the stats. This is exactly the information I'm looking for.

I fully expect the top end smithed 2 hander to come in around 40/30 +100/100 mana/hp, at a minimum, with 2 slots added.
                  Buahahaha!

                  *cough*err*cough*sorry

Prepare to be dissapointed. I would be very suprised if there are any tradeskill weapons out of GoD that are anything much if at all above a 1/1 ratio. There sure as hell isn't going to be weapons who's ratio can compete ok with everything that existed pre-PoP (including Emp/Cursed/Seru drops) and everything tier3 and below in PoP. And a weapon like you described would compare favorably with that.

You better play DAOC if you expect something like that.
Crafted weapons by GM smither have not very high value in EQ.

36/32 5 ac, some stats, 75hp/mana, 2 slots would be better then anything I see us getting.

Though I think that level of weapon would be fair to get smithing wise

The only REAL benefit of the blade is an additional type *7* slot - the same slot every piece of dropped armour has. Assuming you have EVERY type 7 slot filled and could use this, you probably picked up a better weapon at some point.

And you can get that extra type 7 slot in exchange for... wait for it... doing 81 percent of the DPS of a WMBS (at 65 based on magic number) which is about 6k in the bazaar. At 51 this weapon would do 83 percent of a WMBS assuming that damage scaled when you are below recommended level - which it doesn't.

You buy weapons for DPS, then you look at the DPS and when you've done that, check the DPS. There's no type 7 augment that will increase your DPS by 20 percent (and if there was you could put it on any piece of armour you own).

Because the stuff for GoD smithing is evidently dropping in game from the outset. Oops, did I say that out loud.

                          Nalasrine and her Goods.

Anyone know what and how these can be used?

I have tried to combine a tanner from her with a leather arm and got nothing ... the usual - cant combine in this type of container.

                          thanks

I haven't had a chance to explore, so I can't say much. I do know, however, that the armor quest NPCs talk about Nalasrine having some sort of infusion process that's involved in creating the quest armors. Its possible that some of her items are tied to this process.

I purchased a tanning agent but as yet have not been able to get it to work ... wonder if it is tied to the quested armors that she is related to - she intimates that it could be ANY armor.

Nalasrine's infusions are for the class quest(?) armors in the room adjacent to Nalasrine's room. Rayin Yvain talks about making SK armor to me and she says something along the lines of when you find a piece of muramite metal, a muramite metal armor mold, she can make you some armor with the metal infused with Nalasrine's compound. I don't think that the compound is truly tradeskill related, but more like Bor Warhammer's quasi-tradeskill combine with the requisite plat sink and stuff. Seeing as no one has found any muramite metal or molds yet, I have a feeling that this stuff is probably from the higher tiers of GoD.
