Post 220 especially. I'm gathering components for a huge run at shadow scream to get me to 242. Is 400 combines about right? 600? Any ideas?

Average for over 220 is about 1 skill up per stack of combines.Tinile, 85th Druid of the Seventh Hammer

From my experiences, I have learned a few things:
If you go on the law of averages to determine how many you need, you will always need 1 more.
If you gather double what you think you need, you will finish is less than half of your supplies.
If you want to just finish off a skill to be done with it, you will skill faster.
If you want to get your skill raised to make something, your skillup rate will become closer to 1 in 100 attempts.
So, take these lessons and determine your need based on that. GL to you.
